Overview
This 7-day tour takes you through the highlights of Northern Morocco — from the legendary city of Tangier where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, to the enchanting blue streets of Chefchaouen, the ancient imperial cities of Fes and Meknes, Roman ruins, the Middle Atlas Mountains, and ends in the vibrant city of Marrakech. A perfect mix of culture, history, nature, and authentic Moroccan experiences.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Pick-up from Tangier Airport/Port (Tanger Med or city port).
Visit Cap Spartel, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic.
Explore the mythical Hercules Caves with views of Africa-shaped opening to the Atlantic.
Explore the historic Kasbah, the winding old Medina, and the lively Petit Socco café square.
Walk along Tangier's Corniche and beach promenade.
Day 2
Drive toward Tetouan, "The White Dove."
Visit the UNESCO-listed Medina.
Pass by the King's Palace (exterior).
Continue to Chefchaouen, the famous Blue Pearl.
Explore the old medina, Outa El Hammam square, Ras El Ma river, and artisan shops.
Sunset walk to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint.
Day 3
Morning free in Chefchaouen.
Drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis (UNESCO site) with well-preserved mosaics and Triumphal Arch (~2.5 hours).
Continue to Meknes, the imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismail: majestic Bab Mansour Gate, Sahrij Swani (Royal Stables), and the atmospheric Old Medina.
Arrival in Fes in the evening.
Day 4
Guided tour with a certified local guide: Fes el-Bali (oldest part of the city).
Visit Al-Qarawiyyin University — founded in 859 AD, recognized as the world's oldest continuously operating university.
Explore the Tannery of Chouara.
Visit Bou Inania and Attarine Madrasas.
Discover Nejjarine Square and Museum.
Experience pottery and zellige workshops.
Free evening to relax or enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner show.
Day 5
Drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Stop in Ifrane, "Little Switzerland."
Visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see the wild Barbary macaques.
Continue through the Tadla plains and Beni Mellal (~7 hours total driving).
Arrive in Marrakech by evening, checking into your riad in the heart of the Medina.
Day 6
Guided city tour: Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs.
Explore the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), Medina & Souks.
Visit Jemaa El Fna Square.
Optional afternoon visit to the iconic Majorelle Garden with its cobalt blue buildings and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
Day 7
Free time depending on your flight schedule.
Transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport.
